The marlin was the mascot of Mercy High School in Farmington Hills Michigan, where many of the leadership values that shaped Meri M. Stockwell's early life were first formed. Strength. Perseverance. Focus. The qualities a marlin embodies were the same qualities a young Meri was learning to develop during those formative years.
Years later that connection came full circle in a way that felt like more than coincidence. When Meri made her home on Marlin Drive the mascot that had once symbolized her school years unexpectedly reappeared as the name of the street she would one day call home.
What began as a meaningful personal connection became the inspiration for the publishing house. The marlin symbolizes strength focus and forward movement, qualities reflected in every book published under the Marlin Publishing House™ imprint and every leader these books are written to serve.
